Poem on the back by Roger Johnson
Casey Daniel
He was a man that we called friend
He worked for George right up to the end
We're all gonna miss him when we gather in the fall
His easy way of movin and his soft Texas drawl
His wife's name is Teri and daughters Amy and Ashley
He went through life with the greatest of ease
But when he gathered wild cows he brought em' out of the trees
He was my neighbor for four or five years
And I'm here today a cryin' the tears
He never strived for fame or fortune
But made the front cover of the Western Horseman
His Dad's name was Windy and Mother Louise
And Brothers he did have the number of three
There's Mary, Junior and the one we all call Brother
I know they all wish he could have made it a little further
He's gone on to Heaven gatherin' cattle on the high rim
If I make it up there I hope the drop me off next to him
We'll move em' down the draws and throught the coulees
And then stop and have a cup of hot coffee
When the Lord called him home to pay his last dues
it was July 2002
He's showed his last horse and swung his last loop
And now he's helpin' Jesus put cows in the chute
As I said earlier we'll miss him in the fall
But he's watchin' over us one and all
We'll go on livin' day to day
But when we see CASEY that will be our pay
We're all gonna miss his jovial face
There will be one out of place
When we meet him in Heaven and jesus in union
They're still gonna call it Texas Cowboy Reunion
Dedicated to my FRIEND CASEY by:
