God saw you were getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered, "Come with me." With tearful eyes we watched you suffer and saw you fade away. Although we couldn't bear to lose you, we could not ask you to stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard-working hands laid to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.
She is survived by three children and their spouses; James and Lois Campau of Essexville; Nancy Jo and Alden Hines of Sanford and Harold Campau of Saginaw; six grandchildren; Dr. James and Carol Campau of Essexville; Thomas Campau of Essexville; Tom and Debby Curpenski of Bay City; Jeannie Behmlander of Bay City; Debbie Behmlander of Novi and Linda Crissman of Indiana; six great- grandchildren; Max, Phillip and Erin Campau, Daniel Johnston, Kristy and Joshua Curpenski and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harold Campau Sr. whom she married December 1, 1932 and then married Albert S. Klipper in October 1962. She was also predeceased by two children, Jacqueline Campau and Tommy Lane Campau, her parents, Lyman and Caroline (Noyes) Thornton, four brothers, George, Raymond, Harold and Eugene Thornton and four sisters, Wanda Grantham, Francis Ballard, Grace Meier and Lois Grantham.
Funeral and committal services took place Monday, May 16, 2005. Officiating was Rev. Paul D. Theiss with private interment in Floral Gardens Cemetery.
