Edward Earl Harper, 85, went to be with our Lord and Savior on June 17, 2016.
Mr. Harper is a Veteran of the U.S. Army of the Korean War. He grew up in Mississippi, and later moved to Alaska where he met his wife, Bonnie. He returned to his home in Flora, MS. Earl Served as Police Chief of Flora, and later as Mayor of Flora.
Earl is survived by his wife, Bonnie; son, Kent Harper; daughters, Brenda Coffman, Leslie Harper Foster (Bill), Dana Yates, and Jodi Yates (Dino); sister, Rose Curtis (Bruce); 9 grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; and a nephew and numerous nieces.
Funeral Services will be Monday, June 20, 2016 at Flora United Methodist Church at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. at the Church. Burial will follow in Flora City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations maybe made to United Methodist Church of Flora or to Damascus Baptist Church in Flora.
