Brenda Elizabeth (Bosserman) Patterson, 65, a resident of Lyndhurst, VA, passed away Friday, June 17, 2016 at Augusta Health surrounded by her loving family.
A daughter of the late Lester Bosserman and Bertha (Blackwell) Bosserman, she was born May 30, 1951 in Waynesboro, VA, and lovingly raised by Richard D. and Frances Campbell.
Brenda began her career in health care as a Candy Striper at Waynesboro Community Hospital. She retired as a Licensed Practical Nurse, after serving 40 years between Waynesboro Community Hospital and Augusta Health. Brenda showed a dedicated, caring spirit to her patients, coworkers, family, and friends.
She deeply loved animals and gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Shirley Nicholes and Faye J. Campbell.
Surviving are her daughters, Nikki Waggy and her husband Daniel, Kati McCormick and her husband Steve; grandchildren, Justin McDaniel, Olivia and Wyatt Waggy; brothers, Bradford Bosserman wife Stephanie, Jerry Bosserman wife Barbara, Donald F. Campbell wife Connie, Ronnie R. Campbell wife Ellen, Eddie D. Campbell wife Patty; sisters, Linda B. Hahn, and Margaret Wood husband Daniel; special cousin, Phyllis Truxell; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday evening, June 20th at McDow Funeral Home.
A celebration of Brenda’s life will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 21st at Sherando United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Dr. Danny Campbell. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
