George Pikard Faulkner
FAULKNER, George Pikard – Age 81 of Roseburg passed away Friday, June 17, 1997 in a local care home. He was born August 1, 1915 in Ellery, New York to Ben and Bernice Faulkner. Mr. Faulkner served in the US Navy during World War II. On September 6, 1959 in Santa Barbara, California he and Irene were married. Fr. Faulkner worked as a machinist for 25 years until he retired in 1979. In 1981 the Faulkners moved from Santa Barbara, California to Roseburg. He enjoyed fishing. Survivors include his sons Jeff and wife Elaine, Dave Faulkner and his wife Barbara all of Hawaii and Barry Faulkner and Cathy of North Carolina; brother Harold Faulkner of Washington; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife Irene on September 18, 1986. At his request there will be no services. Private cremation rites have been held. LONG & SHUKLE MEMORIAL CHAPEL is in charge of arrangements.
