Mrs. Williams died September 26, 1941. Asa then moved back to Washington and on September 13, 1943 he married Mrs. Lucina Johnston in Seattle. They lived in a home near Prairie Center on Whidbey Island and he was employed at the Island County Court House.
He was survived by his wife; four children, Mrs. Walter Barrett and Miss Jean Williams of Coupeville, Kenneth Robert Williams of Pasadena, California and S-Sgt. Maurice Ward Williams of Santa Fe, New Mexico; two brothers, Charles Nichols of Ketchikan, Alaska and Ernest Nichols of Coupeville; two half-brothers, John Warner of Okanogan, Washington and Ray Warner of Brewster, Washington; one sister, Mrs. Mae De Witt of Ithaca, New York; and three half-sisters, Mrs. Mattie Hooper of Richmond, California, Mrs. Myrta Holthouser of Mallott, Washington, and Mrs. Laura Earley of Okanogan, Washington.
