CRESTLINE: CHARLOTTE A. STEWART, 82, of Crestline, died Thursday, June 16, 2016 at OhioHealth MedCentral Mansfield Hospital, Mansfield after a three year courageous battle with dementia.
Charlotte was born in Lexington on December 30, 1933 to the late Willard and Annabelle (Hoverstick) Prosser. She married Paris Stewart on July 2, 1971 and he preceded her in death on May 26, 1982.
Charlotte lived in Crestline since 1973, moving here from Mifflin. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Women's Auxiliary, Crestline, where she tended bar for forty years. Charlotte loved her grandkids and enjoyed reading and sitting in the sun.
She is survived by her son, Ned and Connie Jacobs, Crestline, eight grandchildren; Jamie and T.J. Kruger, Melissa Smith, Shellie Smith, Melinda Smith, Mandy Jacobs, Kaleigh Jacobs Shannon Jacobs, Ashley Jacobs, several great-grandchildren, her two sisters, Loraine Campbell, Bellville, Laura Mae & Russell Shields, Mansfield and her sister-in-law, Shirley Howard, Crestline.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her daughter, Joyce Smith, her two sons, Bill Jacobs, Tim Jacobs and two sisters, Frances Jacobs and Jeannie Hagadorn.
Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, 223 West Main Street, Crestline with Pastor Gary Proietti officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Crestline.
