Norman H. Lorenz, age 84, of 427 Randolph St., village of Mishicot, died
Sunday, June 27, 1999, at the Two Rivers Community Hospital, as the
result of an automobile accident.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, 1999, at
St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church in Mishicot. Rev. Maurice L. Hoppe will
officiate. Burial will be in the Mishicot Public Cemetery.
Norman was born December 18, 1914, in the town of Kossuth, son of the
late Albert and Louise Kiel Lorenz. He married the former Elsie Barthels
September 10, 1940, at St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church, Mishicot. She
preceded him in death on July 20, 1988. Mr. Lorenz was employed for
Western Condensory-Formost Dairies for many years and later worked for
Lube Devices in Manitowoc, until his retirement in 1977. After his
retirement, he worked as a custodian at Manitowoc Lutheran High School.
He was a member of St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church in Mishicot and of
the Mishicot Senior Citizens.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Edward and Diane
Lorenz, Manitowoc, Fredrick and Roberta Vann-Lorenz, Ames, Iowa, Paul
and Connie Lorenz, Francis Creek; a son-in-law, Rev. James (Beth)
Humann, Edmonds, Wash; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by
his wife, Elsie; one daughter, Irene Humann; one sister, Edna Lorenz;
one brother, Lester Lorenz.
Friends may call after 9 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran
Church in Mishicot, until the time of services at 11 a.m. There will be
no Tuesday evening visitation.
A memorial fund has been established for East Twin Lutheran School of
Mishicot and for the Manitowoc Lutheran High School.
