Sandra Lynn Burke, 65 of Ceres passed away peacefully at her home on June 10th.  She was born on January 14, 1951 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Claude and Pauline Welch.  She came to California at a young age.  She attended Andon College, Beauty College and MJC, obtaining degrees in cosmetology and nursing.  She worked as a cosmetologist and later in the medical field nurse, until her retirement.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, William D. Burke, her children: Richard E. Burke, Nakia Allen, Christopher T. Allen, her informally adopted children: Antonio Watson and Christal K. Holoway, and her granddaughter.  She is also survived by her siblings: Tracey Fitzsimmons and Jeffery Welch.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 18, at 11:00AM at Franklin & Downs Ceres Chapel in Ceres.  Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
