Mr. William Olin Talley, Sr., age 95, also known as W.O. or "Buddy", died on June 16, 2016 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon. He passed quietly into the arms of his Lord after the Lord blessed him with a long and wonderful life. He spent his life being a faithful servant of the Lord. He was a long-time member and past deacon of the Ohoopee Baptist Church and attended Cedar Creek Primitive Baptist for many years. He was part owner and operator of the Ohoopee Mercantile Store in Ohoopee, GA for many years and was a tree and land farmer for over 50 years. He was utilized by the US army as a spotter for enemy planes during World War II. He was a graduate of Georgia Normal Business College of Douglas, GA. His favorite past-times were riding his tractors and bulldozer, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Mr. Talley was preceded in death by his parents Agnes Laura Caldonia McBath Talley Read and William Olin Talley Sr., Lyons, GA; stepfather Alexander Cable Read; three brothers and their wives, Kenneth McBath Talley (Margie McCullough Talley and Opal Ray Talley), Thomas Carlton Talley, Jerry Willis Talley: and one sister Agnes Caldonia Talley Horne (Arlie): and son-in-law, Walter Steele.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Joyce Eloise Taylor Talley and their daughters and sons-in-law, Lyndal Lynn (Wendell) of Collins, Sandra Steele (Dennis Wainwright) of Swainsboro, Marian Morris (James) of Statesboro, Vicki Renk (David) of Hephzibah, Laura Powell (Wendell) of Soperton, and Dana Manning (Wade) of Vidalia. He also leaves behind fifteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Janis Braddy Talley; and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 18th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Elder Lee Price and Reverend Jimmy Dupree officiating. Burial will follow in the Ohoopee Cemetery near Lyons.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10:00 until just prior to the service.
