Kevin was born on October 6, 1957 in LeMars, Iowa to Philip James and Patricia Jane (Krohn) Brady and raised in nearby Marcus, Iowa on the family farm. Kevin attended Holy Name Catholic School and graduated from Marcus High School in 1976. Kevin attended college at Briar Cliff and transferred to and graduated from Iowa State University in 1980 with a degree in Animal Science .

On September 1, 1984 Kevin married Michelle Marie (Weber) Brady and together they had four daughters. Later in life Kevin went back to school to obtain a degree in computer programming from Western Iowa Tech. He then went on to work as a Data Systems Administrator at WITCC.

Kevin was a proud and active member of the Blessed Sacrament Knights of Columbus. In his free time he enjoyed shooting archery with his friends at the Tryhedron and South Dakota Bowbender Archery clubs. He faithfully followed Iowa State Cyclone sports, no matter how often they broke his heart. Kevin also very much enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid reader. He was an incredible father, husband, son, brother, and friend who was a strong and joyful presence in the lives of those around him. Kevin frequently shared his time and talents by teaching youth archery, volunteering with the Knights of Columbus, and willfully helping friends and family. He will be very much missed but celebrated always.
