Ed Ford Williams passed away Monday, June 6, 2016. Services will be Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Power House COGIC at 11:00 with Elder John Jackson Officiating and under the direction of Wells Funeral Home. Interment East Lawn Cemetery. Visitation Friday, June 17, 2016 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at Wells Chapel.

He was born November 22, 1926. He graduated from Booker T. Washington on Flood Street where he played football. He was married to Hazel Osborne Williams for seventy one years.

His greatest memories were with his family, kids and grandchildren. He worked for Carnation Milk Company. He later worked for the City Bus Barn until his retirement. He owned and operated W & W Janitorial with his son-in-law.

He was a Church going man at Jackson Memorial COGIC that loved his Church and God. He was a deacon at Jackson Memorial by Elder Jackson and served until God called him home. He was a Sunday school Teacher and started the yearly Deacon Program. Whatever he put his hands on he was faithful until the end.

He leaves to cherish his memories, loving wife, Hazel Williams; sons, Maurice Williams, Gerry Williams (Wanda); daughters, Bernice Woods, Diane Walker, LaKesha Rense (granddaughter); brothers, Robert Williams (Martha), U.L. William; grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, a host of loving and supporting nieces, nephews, and extended family. Those we love remain with us for love itself lives on.
