Son of Thomas Vining & Millie Fuqua (POOL) MILLER. Married 04 SEP 1859 in Muscogee County, Georgia, to Mary PARKER. Father of ten children.

Oliver H. MILLER enlisted as a Private in Company C "Muscogee Volunteers," 46th Regiment, Georgia Infantry, Army of Tennessee, CSA, on 12 APR 1862 (his brother Nicholas E. MILLER also served in this company). He was wounded in his left arm at New Hope Church at Dallas, Ga., on 28 MAY 1864, and sent to a hospital in Columbus, Ga., where his arm was amputated in 1864. He was at home, wounded, at the close of the war. (He was born in Ga. on 03 APR 1834.)
