Maxine M. Bazany, age 87, of Grand Haven went to be with her Lord early April 22, 2014 at Riverside Nursing Home.
She was born June 12, 1926 in Grand Rapids to the late Nolan and Daisy Taylor. Maxine married the former John Bazany on June 15, 1946 in Grand Haven and he passed away January 30, 1985.
Maxine was a homemaker, loved the outdoors and camping, music and dancing, was extremely fond of Snickers bites with coffee, cheese balls, gardening, crossword puzzles and especially time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Hope Reformed Church in Grand Haven.
She is survived by two daughters: Diane (Tom) Coveart of Grand Haven and Barbara (Harvey) Rademaker of Grand Haven; and five grandchildren: Ann (Bala) Ramachandran, Jennifer (Jon) Veeneman, Jarod (Megan) Rademaker, Kyle (Amy) Rademaker, and Kevin (Angela) Rademaker of Grand Haven. Also surviving are ten great-grandchildren: Travis and Sophia Thomson, Fisher and Hadley Veeneman, Becca, Riley, and Jordyn Rademaker, Claire Rademaker, Braden and Makenzie Rademaker. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Calvin, Eugene, and Alvin Taylor; and by one sister, Vera Rose.
The funeral service will be held 11 AM Thursday, April 24, 2014 at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven with Rev. Daniel Anderson officiating.
