George was the son of James & Nancy Elizabeth EVANS Hardin. He was married 1st to Rosa A. ROBERTS; he was married 2nd to Estella May McCawley.
George's first wife, Rosa A. ROBERTS Hardin, is buried in Wilks-Roberts Cemetery in an fieldstone marked grave. His second wife, Estella May McCAWLEY Roberts, remarried to William Guthrie and then to Walter Arthur Gurthrie and is said to have been buried in the Goshen Cemetery.
This single grave is located in the middle of a field on the Roy Glenn farm. The grave was previously marked only with a fieldstone and was under an old cedar tree which died. Mr. Glenn has recently removed the cedar tree and has marked the grave with a metal pipe cross. This farm was once owned by George W. Hardin and he asked to be buried here.
