Matthew Rosson Francis came into this world early as a premature baby on April 11, 1969 in Wharton, TX, and left this world early on April 6, 2016 in Cumberland, MD, after complications from his diabetes. During his 46 years, Matthew would save countless lives over 23 years as a licensed critical care paramedic serving in Palestine, Tyler, Huntsville, and Livingston, Texas. Matthew was a joy to his parents Jerry Pat and Charlotte Francis, and to his grandparents Alma and Clarence Rosson and Pat and Mozelle Francis, all from Palestine. He graduated Palestine High School, became an Eagle Scout, and attended Tyler Junior college where he began his studies towards becoming a paramedic. He loved playing tennis and was on the tennis teams in high school and college, and mentored others as a private tennis instructor. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. He is survived by his sister Lisa Francis Bennett and husband Josh of Pert, TX; sister Leslie Chase and husband Scot of Bellaire, TX; nephews Frank Rosson Zator, Jerry Patrick (JP) Zator, Austin Chase, Chance Chase; niece Sidney Chase; Matthew is also survived by his wife Debra Chiarizia and his step-children Maggie and David Chiarizia of Keyser, WV. Lisa and Leslie are forever grateful to Debra for her love and care of Matthew. Friends and family are invited to a celebration of Matthew's life on Saturday, May 7, 2:00 p.m. at the Court Drive Church of Christ, 1434 Court Drive, Palestine, TX.
