John Scott Norwood 1970 – 2014 John Scott Norwood, age 44, born September 3, 1970, in Houston, Texas, was suddenly called home to Our Lord on December 5, 2014. A graduate of G.C. Scarborough High School, class of 1989, John enjoyed a lengthy tenure with Cobb, Fendley & Associates and also with Pate Engineers. He also worked with various companies in the oil & gas industry throughout his career. John is preceded in death by his father, Joe Norwood. He is survived by his children, Lola and Dax; mother, Thelma Norwood; sisters Jodi Casey and Jeri Duke; brother-in-law Darrell Duke; nephews Sean Casey and Sam Duke; niece Haylee Duke; and many, many life-long friends. A memorial service will be held honoring his life on Thursday, December 11, 2014, at 6:00pm at White Oak Baptist Church located at 3615 Mangum, Houston, Texas 77092. The service will be led by John Wethington, pastor of White Oak Baptist Church.
