She was born on January 28, 1931, in Forest Hill, Louisiana, to Oliver and Martha Jane (Oliver) Robbins. She was a 1948 graduate of Center High School. She was married to Johnnie Bittick for 61 years until his death in 2012. She was a longtime resident of Center and worked various jobs there, including as a nurses aide at the old Center Sanitarium, office positions at Eastex Poultry, Holly Farms, Center Plywood and the Oates Clinic. She was also the owner and operator of a child care center for several years.
She enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, music, singing and genealogy. She loved spending time with her family, especially her precious grandchildren.
She is survived by brother: Gerald Robbins and wife, Earline; sister: Dovie Gray Oatman and husband, Richard; sons: Thomas Carroll Bittick; Johnnie Glynn Bittick; David Lee Bittick and wife, Linda; Larry Daniel Bittick; Jeremy Wade Bittick and wife, Tina; daughter: Janie Murle Bittick Mulla; numerous grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.
