John Lee McMahan, 69, of Spartanburg, SC, died Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at Brookdale Easley. Born November 10, 1946, in Woodruff, SC, he was the son of the late Everette Pearson McMahan and Zonie Hall McMahan and husband of the late Pamela Lawrence McMahan.

A U. S. Army veteran, Mr. McMahan retired from Michelin Tire after 36 years of service and was a member of QDMA. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener, and member of Woodman of the World, and American Legion Post #28. He was also a former member of Bethany Baptist Church.

Survivors include his son, Chad Lee McMahan (Adrienne) of Easley, SC; stepson, Richie Pugh (Deedee) of Boiling Springs, SC; grandchildren, Josiah and Leah McMahan, Garitt Pugh and Randa Pugh Miller; three great-grandchildren; and sisters, Joyce Teague and Kay Trotter, both of Woodruff, SC.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, June 17, 2016, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 18, 2016, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, by the Rev. Rodney Graham. Burial, with military rites by American Legion Post #28, will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the SC Department of Natural Resources, Harry Hampton Fund, PO Box 2641, Columbia, SC 29202
