A U. S. Army veteran, Mr. McMahan retired from Michelin Tire after 36 years of service and was a member of QDMA. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener, and member of Woodman of the World, and American Legion Post #28. He was also a former member of Bethany Baptist Church.
Survivors include his son, Chad Lee McMahan (Adrienne) of Easley, SC; stepson, Richie Pugh (Deedee) of Boiling Springs, SC; grandchildren, Josiah and Leah McMahan, Garitt Pugh and Randa Pugh Miller; three great-grandchildren; and sisters, Joyce Teague and Kay Trotter, both of Woodruff, SC.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, June 17, 2016, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 18, 2016, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, by the Rev. Rodney Graham. Burial, with military rites by American Legion Post #28, will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
