Anthony Carlton Sawyer, 49, of Quarter Road, Swan Quarter and formerly of the Gum Neck Community in Tyrrell County, died Tuesday, May 24 at Vidant-Beaufort Hospital in Washington.
Born in Chowan County, June 10, 1966, he was the son of the late Arnold Bradford and Bertie Cohoon Sawyer.
Surviving are two brothers, Arnold Sawyer of Columbia and Robert Gene Sawyer of Belhaven; three sisters, Crystal Sawyer Gibbs of Gum Neck, Judy Norman of Columbia and Nancy Bobbitt of West Virginia.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Columbia Chapel of Bryan Funeral Service. Ernie Richardson will officiate. Burial will follow in Azalea Memorial Gardens...
