Kitty Gross Tucker, 55, of Englewood, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2016, at her residence.
She was a member of Carlock United Methodist Church; active in Eastern Star. She retired from McMinn Central High School.
She was a daughter of the late Howell "Lefty" Gross and Margaret Gross Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, listed above; stepfather, Robert "Private Red" Smith; daughter, Michelle Croft; brother, Tracy Gross; and grandson, Tyler Miller.
Kitty enjoyed fishing, watching the Tennessee Vols and Central Chargers.
Survivors include her husband, Roe Tucker; daughters, Melanie Miller of Chattanooga, Christi Haney of Englewood, and Blair Haney of Englewood; siblings and spouses, Butch and Debbie Gross of Indianapolis, Ind., Pam Madden of Paducah, Ky., Jeanette Foster of Paducah, Ky., Nolan and Hilda Gross of Etowah, Quince Gross of Etowah, twin sister, Katie and Larry Wallace of Englewood, Barbara Gross of Etowah, and Maxine and Bill Roberts of Riceville; grandchildren, Austin Croft of Decatur, Chase Debusk of Ten Mile, Colten Miller of Chattanooga, Caitlin Miller of Chattanooga, Channa Chrisman of Englewood, and Harper Ross of Englewood; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, many special friends and her "2nd family," friends at McMinn Central High School.
Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. on Friday, June 17, in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with the Rev. Jason Humberd and Larry Wallace officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday prior to the service.
Family and friends will assemble at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 18, at the funeral home and proceed to Conasauga Cemetery for the 10 a.m. committal service.
Eric Gross, Zane Gross, Geoff Woodall, Jon Roberts, Bill Roberts, Chris Duff, Chad Chrisman and Colten Miller will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Nolan Gross, Quince Gross, Butch Gross, Larry Wallace and Roger Bowers.
Bordwine Funeral Home of Etowah is in charge of arrangements.
