She was born November 9, 1918, in Oxbow, Saskatchewan, to Charles and Jane Louise Gibbons. She was reared and educated in Oxbow, and then moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba, where she was employed by Eaton's Department Store.
She married Orville E. Harvey April 24, 1948 in Winnipeg. Following their marriage, the couple lived in northern Ontario for 20 years. In September 1964, they came to Minot where she was employed by Young America for 15 years and served as manager for 10 years. She retired in 1981. The couple continued to live in Minot and for a number of years, they also maintained a summer home at Rice Lake.
Kathleen was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Minot.
Survivors: husband, Minot; daughter, Joanne Meshna, New Ipswich, New Hampshire; one grandchild; sisters, Mary Thomson and Margaret Gibbons, both Alameda, Saskatchewan, Agnes Waddington, Thunder Bay, Ontario, Lois Dombowsky, Regina, Saskatchewan, Jean Spence, Nanaimo, British Columbia, and Bea Spence, Sidney, British Columbia; brothers, John Gibbons and Donald Gibbons, both of Thunder Bay.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church, Minot. The family prefers memorials to the American Cancer Society.
