Obituary:

Donald Hunter Foster, 1920-1999, age 79 of Fairgrove died Wednesday April 7, 1999 at his home. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, April 10, 1999 from Wahjamega Country Church. Pastor Rick Harrell officiating. Burial 2 PM Saturday in Brookside Cemetery.

Those desiring, may consider memorial contributions to Wahmajega Country Church or Gideon Society. Envelopes available at the Funeral Home or Church.

Friends may call at the Martin Funeral Home - Fairgrove 3-5 and 7-9 pm Friday. Saturday morning Mr. Foster will be taken to church to lie in state from 10 am until time of funeral at 11 am.

Born March 14, 1920 in Fairgrove the son of Mr. and Mrs. James R. and Olive K. (Wylie) Foster. He and Gladys Elizabeth Boughan were united in marriage August 10, 1953. He retired from State of Michigan where he was employed as an Attendant Nurse.

Mr. Foster was an active member, Deacon, and Sunday School Teacher at the Wahjamega Country Church. He was a member of the Gideon Society.

Surviving are his wife: Gladys, his 4 sons, Robert Foster; Kim Foster; Jack and wife Kathy Foster of Clyde, Ohio; Douglas and wife Diane Foster of Fairgrove. 6 grandchildren: Jason; Miranda; Kacy; Brandon; Andrew; and Adam; sister: Alice and husband Keith Fick of Marlette; sisters-in-law: Mable Pfeifer of Vassar; Goldie Langworthy of Caro; Brothers-in-law: Robert Boughan of Caro; Chester Boughan of Cheboygan; Numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
