As a young lady, she married the love of her life, Howard Thomas and they spent the early time of their marriage in Texas before relocating to Lovington, NM. She played a vital role as a member of Macedonia Church of God in Christ in Lovington and as a domesticated worker throughout the majority of her years. She positively impacted the lives of each family she encountered. She was a cheerful volunteer as she served as a Pink Lady at the hospital, as well as serving other various positions in the community.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son.

She leaves to cherish her memory; grandson: Carlo Thomas (Kashondra) of Arlington, TX; granddaughter: Markeba Warfield (Jason) of Grand Prairie, TX; six great-grandchildren: Jordan Thomas, Kaitlynn Duvall, Ryan Warfield, Peyton Warfield and Makayla Thomas; one sister: Annie Bell Samuel (AB) San Angelo, TX and brother: Robert Brooks of Abilene, TX
