The memorial service for Scott Lynn Chambers will be at 4:00pm on Saturday June 18th, 2016 at the River Park Chapel, Macken Funeral Home with the Rev. Luke Nelson officiating. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Chambers, 62, of Rochester passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday.

Scott was born on March 27, 1954 in Lakeview, Oregon to William and Opal Chambers. He graduated from Longmont High School in Colorado in 1972.

He recently retired from IBM after 38 years there.

He married the love of his life, Kathryn Dawn Chambers in Rockford, Michigan on May 10, 2015. They resided in their “little cabin in the city” in Rochester, MN.

Early in life, Scott loved fly fishing and hunting but later it was the wind at his back and the sun in his eyes on his Harley.

Survivors include his loving mother Opal Jean Chambers, his loving wife Kathryn Dawn Chambers, his two sons Matthew Chambers and Christopher Chambers, his daughter Ashley Chambers and his granddaughter Deja Butler.

“Life’s journey is not to arrive safely at the grave in a well preserved body, but rather sliding in sideways totally worn out shouting; wow what a ride!”
