She was preceded in death by her husband, Lemuel Cooper Wells; their son, John Keith Wells and her parents, Harry Keith Ulmer and Minnie Lou Howard Ulmer.
She was a long time member of Jasper Springs Baptist Church where she had formerly served as church secretary, was a member of the Steadfast Ladies Sunday School Class, WMU, sang in the sanctuary choir, taught numerous Sunday School Classes and served on several committees. Mrs. Ann was known for her cooking skills, especially her 9 and 10 layer chocolate cakes and, as her grandchildren called it “granny food”. She was known for sending cards to those having birthdays, anniversaries or illness. Mrs. Ann had a true servant’s heart and never met a stranger. Her biggest joy came from being with her family. She was retired from the Georgia Ports Authority where she served as a PBX Operator.
Visitation: 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel.
Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2016 in the Chapel of Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel, with Rev. Dale Simmons and Dr. Michael D. “Dusty” Reynolds officiating.
Interment will follow in Effingham Memorial Gardens.
