Ellen Wooster was b 16 Nov 1849, North Haven, the daughter of Hiram Wooster & Deborah Norton. She d 1935 in probably Knox Co, Maine.

She married George Washington Mills on 5 Dec 1869, North Haven. He was b 13 Feb 1834, Vinalhaven, the s/o Silas Mills & Eleanor "Nellie" Smith. He d 2 July 1900, Vinalhaven.

Ellen & George had one son, Sidney Eugene Mills,s b 27 Oct 1870, Vinalhaven - 1950.
George was a farmer on Vinalhaven.

In 1860, he is residing with his father age 26, working as a fisherman, with real estate valued at $100 and personal property at $100.

Note: These records were entered into the town records in groups, months or years after their occurrence. With the publication in the newspaper of their marriage on 5 Dec 1869, and in the 1870 census they were already married, the 10 Dec 1871 is incorrect.
