He was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church, Washington. He was also a member of the National Association of Retired Federick Employees, the Amewrican Association of Retired Persons, and the Ham Operators of America. Prior to his retirement he was employed as a radar technician with the Dept. of the Navy for 17 years. He was a veteran who served with the US Army during WWI.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Henry W. Aufdem Brinke, Wilmington, NC; one daughter, Mrs. Valencia A. Jeffery, Point of Rocks; one step-brother, Joseph F. Abell, St. Mary's County; 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services were held in the chapel of the Stauffer Funeral Home, Frederick; interment was in the Lutheran Cemetery, Middletown.
