Gordon Henry was the third son of Frederick William Peers and Margaret Dunne.
He worked with his father as a sharebroker in Melbourne and following his father's death in 1896 he continued the business. Gordon's deafness may have been the reason he took a position as a book keeper on a station property in NSW after his wife, Emily Rose MacDougall died in 1915.
Gordon died in the Deniliquin District Hospital on 24 May 1948 and was buried in the Church of England section of the Deniliquin cemetery on 26 May 1948. His grave is unmarked.
There were two children of the marriage.
