CLARENDON — Wesley Monroe “Buddy” Ford, 79, died Sunday, June 12, 2016, in Memphis.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church in Clarendon with the Rev. Matthew Stidham officiating. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon

Mr. Ford was born July 28, 1936, in Lakeview to Siro Monroe and Edna Ruby Beavers Ford. Although he had numerous other skills and trades, he mostly worked as a cement contractor.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Ford of Clarendon; a son, Quinton Ford of Clarendon; six daughters, Elaine Boozer of Pflugerville and Sharon Cannon, Terri Hommel, Pat Ritchie, Kim Haire and Karen Watt, all of Clarendon; a brother, Bubba Ford of Clarendon; two sisters, Helen Ford and Sue McDonald, both of Lake Texoma; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

The family suggests memorials be to Kidney Foundation.
