NOTE: Ernest was ordained by the Gregory Presbytery in January 1913. He was a minister in the Presbyterian Church for more than 40 years. Most of this time was spent in Wichita Falls, Houston and Dallas, Texas. He was Assistant Chaplain at the Veterans' Hospital in Dallas for eight years. After retirement in 1960, the McGaugheys returned to Alvord, their childhood home.
