Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 12, 1999, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot. Rev. John Neuser will officiate, with burial in the Holy Cross Catholic Church Cemetery.
Marcella was born February 17, 1917, in Mishicot, daughter of the late Eli and Rose Zeman Baugniet and has been a life long Mishicot resident. She married Roland Kumbalek, November 22, 1941, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot. He preceded her in death, April 27, 1992. She and her husband owned and operated Kumbalek's Tavern on Main Street, in Mishicot, for many years. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot, the V.F.W. Auxiliary of the Kempen Staudinger Terens Post #7753.
Survivors include one brother and three sisters-in-law, Bernard and Jean Baugniet, Mishicot, Lydia Kumbalek and Vi Kumbalek, both of Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends. She was also preceded in death by one brother and two sisters-in-law, Florenz and Evelyn Baugniet, Florence Baugniet and one niece, Marie Kornely.
Relatives and friends may call at the Lambert Funeral Home, in Mishicot, from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 1999. There will be a 6:30 p.m. V.F.W. Memorial Service followed by a 7:30 p.m. parish wake service Sunday evening at the funeral home. Visitation will continue at 9:30 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home, before the time of services at 11 a.m.
A memorial fund has been established in her name for Holy Cross Church.
