Glenn E Ward
November 19, 1922 - June 10, 2016

Whenever Glenn met someone new, he proudly smiled and said, "I'm 93!"

He was born on the family farm in Kuna, Idaho, and graduated from Ontario High School in 1940.

He served in the army airborne division in the South Pacific, and was proud of being a WWII vet. He often wore a WWII Veteran baseball cap that inspired strangers to approach and thank him for his service. After the war, he entered the College of Idaho to play ball, and the GI bill gave him a bachelor's degree in social studies in 1950.

He married June Glenn in 1950 and took teaching and coaching positions (football and baseball) at Adrian High School in Oregon.
He later became principal, then superintendent of schools. After a year of farming in 1976, he returned to school administration in Harper, Oregon and retired in 1985.

Glenn was preceded in death by his father George Banks Ward, mother Gladys May Selby Ward, his sister Marjorie Pennington, and his brothers Garland, Bill, and Russell.

He is survived by his daughter Carolyn Wolfe (Boise); son Stuart Ward and his wife Denise and their children Rae and Jacob (Seattle, Wash.); his brothers Wendell (Middleton), Darrell (Nampa) and George (Wheatland, Calif.), and sister Ila Bowman (Elko, Nevada).

The family wants to thank the staff at St. Alphonsus in Nampa and in Boise for their great care of our Dad.
The memorial service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church in Caldwell at 2700 S. Kimball Street at 2 p.m. on July 2, 2016.

We ask that any remembrances be donated to the Caldwell Senior Center or to the charity of your choice.
