Douglas Allen Fuller Sr., born December 7, 1943, passed away peacefully May 29, 2013 at his home in Hinsdale with his family surrounding him. Mr. Fuller was born to Dorothy and Lloyd (Bob) Fuller and married to Elizabeth (Munn) Fuller for 50 years. He was a lifelong Hinsdale resident where he owned and operated Fuller's Service Center, Fuller's Home and Hardware, Dips & Dogs, Fuller's Tire Center of Clarendon Hills and Fuller's Car Wash of Cicero. Together, Doug & Liz raised seven children: Paula Goss (John), Sara Kurr (Paul), Susan Groenewold (Joel), Douglas Jr. (Amy), Adam (Jill), Ethan, and Colin (Anne). He was blessed with thirty-one grandchildren: Patrick (Dana), Luke (Angela), Andrew (Samantha), Evan and Grant Goss. Grace and Elaine Kurr, Spencer, Noah, Gretchen, Maggie, Elizabeth and Douglas Groenewold, Owen, Elle, Isabel, Aaron and Aidan Fuller, Jack, Riley, Madeline, Wyatt, Griffin and Charlie Fuller, Hannah and Joshua Fuller, Colin Jr., Abigail, Roy, Evelyn and Olivia Fuller. One great-grandson Trevor Goss. He is survived by his brothers Walter (Beverly), Kenneth (Nancy) and Donald (Kathy) and many nieces, nephews, brothers-in -law and sisters-in-law. Doug's life was centered on his religion, his family and his work. His legacy will carry on through the family business he passed on to his children. Doug passed his passion for fishing, hunting and golfing on to his family and together they created memories that will be cherished forever. The family will hold a time of visitation from 3 to 7pm on Sunday, June 2, at Zion Lutheran Church of Hinsdale, 204 South Grant Street, Hinsdale. A Funeral Service for Douglas will be held on Monday, June 3, also at Zion Lutheran Church, 11 am. He will be laid to rest at Bronswood Cemetery, Oak Brook. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church of Hinsdale, 204 South Grant Street, Hinsdale, IL 60521, designated for Douglas Fuller Sr.

Lloyd Fuller, 74, a Hinsdale resident who founded Fuller's Service Center and Car Washes, died Sunday in his home. Mr. Fuller served in the Navy during World War II. He founded his business in 1946. It now has six west suburban locations and employs 175 people. Mr. Fuller is survived by his wife, Shirley; four sons, Walter, Douglas, Kenneth and Donald; 30 grandchildren; and 42 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday in Elliston Funeral Home, 60 S. Grant St., Hinsdale. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Zion Lutheran Church, 204 S. Grant St., Hinsdale.
