Magalene (Parker) Davenport was born on June 2, 1921, the daughter of William Robert Parker (1896-1964) and his wife Eula Ann (McCollom) Parker (1901-1995).

She was married to Luther "Max" Davenport (1913-1988) and attended the Slayden Emmanuel Church.

A resident of Slayden, Tennessee, Magalene was 95 years old when she passed away at home peacefully on June 11, 2016 with her children by her side.

Magalene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son Maxie Davenport and by her brothers William Parker Jr and Ronnie Parker. Survivors included two married sons; two married daughters; two sisters; a brother; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service were held at the chapel of Spann Funeral Home, and burial was in Pleasant View Cemetery.
