She lived in York County on Church Road for 71 years. After the passing of her Mother, she moved to Lancaster County with her daughter, Beverly, and her son-in-law.
Mrs. Riale was born in York County August 7, 1918, daughter of the late Earl C. and Edna S. (Whitecomb) Myers.
Anna graduated from William Penn Senior High School, York, Class of 1936.
She worked at a factory pressing shirts and worked 15 years in the former Tioga Textile factory. Anna retired in 1983 after 5 years from Pleasant Acres in York.
Anna was a life member of Shiloh United Church of Christ for 97 years. She attended Sunday school and also taught Sunday school and was in the Women's Guild.
She is survived by a daughter, Beverly Ann Riale
Hoak and her husband, Milton Groff Hoak; a sister, Betty May Harper, wife of William Harper; a brother, Philip Thomas Myers, husband of Arlene Myers. She was preceded in death by two brothers, John H. Myers and Curvin E. Myers.
Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2016, at Shiloh United Church of Christ, 2251 Willow Road, York. Officiating will be her pastor, the Rev. Susan D'heedene. Final resting place will be in Shiloh Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
At the family's request, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society , 924-N Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403; or to Hospice and Community Care, 685 Good Dr., P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.
