Son of Alex Lezotte and Mary Husbeck, George had been in the U.S. Navy for over 20 years and was stationed at NAS Whidbey at the time of his death. He had served overseas during World War II.

He was survived by his wife, Doris, of Coupeville, Washington; his mother, Mrs. Mary Lezotte of Menominee, Michigan; sisters, Mrs. Lawrence Queever of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Mrs. Glen Kaylor and Miss Mary Lezotte, both of Menominee, Michigan.
