Kathryn, 93, passed away on June 13, 2016 surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 15 at Merle Hay Funeral Home with a visitation one hour prior to service beginning at 12 p.m.

Kathryn Louise Uhlman was born on New Years Eve, December 31, 1922 to Frank and Mary (Conlan) Uhlman, whom had four children, in Des Moines, Iowa. She was raised and educated in Des Moines and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1942.

Kathryn had one daughter, Elizabeth Ann who gave her several grandchildren that she loved to spend time with. She was a full-time mother and grandmother. She had a passion for baking, making candies and sharing those recipes with her family and friends.

She was a beloved mother, nana and sister who will be greatly missed. She is survived by her daughter, Ann (Jeff) Heaverlo; grandsons, Jon (Leigh), Jay (Jenni) and Travis (Erin) Heaverlo; granddaughter, Amy (Shane) Havick; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Uhlman; three nephews and one niece.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Uhlman; brother, Frank Uhlman, Jr.; and sister, Bettie Uhlman.
