Gleichner, Duwayne R.

Duwayne R. Gleichner, age 74, of 2325 Kellner Street, Manitowoc, died peacefully on Monday morning, June 13, 2016 at his home.

Duwayne was born on July 11, 1941 in Two Rivers, WI., son of the late Reinhold and Helen (Rath) Gleichner. He was a graduate of Washington High School in Two Rivers with the class of 1960. Duwayne then received a business degree from Badger Business School in Green Bay. On April 11, 1964 he married the former Anne Spiering at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Two Rivers. Duwayne was an appliance salesman in the Manitowoc area for many years. He owned and operated Duwayne's TV and Appliance in Brillion and retired in 2006. Duwayne was an avid outdoors man and enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife: Anne Gleichner, Manitowoc; two sons and one daughter-in-law: Ronald and Karen (Doubek) Gleichner, Wauwatosa, Douglas Gleichner and his girlfriend Debra Coles, Streamwood, IL; one brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law: Charles and Carol Spiering, Ruth Neelis, all of Manitowoc; and one special cousin: Rosie Bugs, Manitowoc. Other Relatives and friends also survive.

Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, and funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 17, 2016 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home (928 South 14th Street), Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Roald Harswick with burial of Duwayne's cremated remain to take place at Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, June 17, 2016 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Duwayne's name to Camp Luther.

The Pfeffer Funeral Home and All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
