Ted Campbell, age 92 of Studdards Crossroads, Fayette County, AL, died peacefully at his home on June 12, 2016.

Mr. Campbell was a World War II veteran, joining the Army Air Corp on his 18th birthday. After the war, he continued to serve in the United States Air Force and full time with the Alabama National Guard 117 Tactical Unit, totaling 26 years in the military before retiring. He continued his aircraft career with Southern Airways, which later became Republic Airlines.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira Emerson Campbell & Minnie Lee Studdard Campbell; two brothers, James Monroe Campbell and Paul Emerson Campbell; his wife of 62 years, Emma Clark Campbell; daughter, Olivia Campbell; granddaughter, Amy Carol Fann and grandson, Matthew Clark Shields.

He is survived by two daughters, Patricia Campbell Shields (Gerry) of Helena, AL and Judy Campbell Fann of Carbon Hill, AL; one son, Terry Wayne Campbell of Thousand Oaks, CA and three grandsons, Allan Fann of Carbon Hill, Drew Shields (Stephani) of Vestavia and Luke Campbell of Thousand Oaks, CA.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 2:00 pm, with visitation one hour prior to the service at First Baptist Church of Carbon Hill. Brother Scott McCullar officiating. Burial will be at Studdards Crossroad Cemetery.
