Mrs. L.B. Allen
Sweetwater - Mrs. L.B. Allen, 84, a lifetime resident of Nolan County, died at 2 a.m. Friday in Simmons Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient for 12 days.
Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Alvis Cooley, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Garden of Memories under direction of Cate-Spencer Funeral Home.
She was born Lizzie A. Howard, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W.B. Howard, in Roscoe April 28, 1887. She and Mr. Allen were married in Sweetwater in 1908. She had lived in Roscoe and Sweetwater all her life. She retired several years ago after serving 46 years as clerk in the Sweetwater Post Office. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors are her husband, and one sister, Mrs. D.L. Linsey of Chulavista, Calif.
