Jackie married Jim R. Culver on May 21, 1958. She graduated from Putman City High School in 1954 and Oklahoma State University School of Home Economics in 1958. She was active in Beta Sigma Phi, Civil Air Patrol and Payne County Extension Homemakers.
Jackie enjoyed working and was quite skilled with all kinds of crafts. She was one of the first owner and operators of a craft store "Hearts and Hands" in downtown Haymarket area in the 1980's and later in the Bethany area.
Jackie also worked at several retail businesses such as Miller and Paine, Ben Franklin and as an instructor for various craft classes at Southeast Community College. She had a special touch for growing and tending to beautiful flower gardens.
She enjoyed the outside and being on a high place on the landscape where one could view Mother Nature at its best. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Blackwell, Oklahoma.
Jackie was preceded in death by: her parents; her brother, Dwight DeHart; and her sister, Euelda Sharp.
She is survived by: her husband Jim; daughter Kathy and son-in-law Mark Swanson; son, Jim Culver and daughter-in-law Irem, and son Jon Culver; grandchildren, Meral Culver, Cole Culver, Dustin Culver; step-grandchildren Heath Sargent, Jamie Bogehreif, Saraha Seacherd; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Roper and Sons Chapel, Lincoln. Interment in Wyuka Cemetery.
