Lloyd Herman “Tom” Tomberlin Sr., age 80 of Dallas, GA passed away on Friday, June 10, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Conley B. and Ruth E. Tomberlin. He was retired from the United States Marine Corp and Winn Dixie, an avid bass fisherman and member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Hiram, GA.
His survivors include his wife of 41 years, Sylvia "Gail" Brackett Tomberlin of Dallas, GA
sons; Robert Tomberlin and Tommy Tomberlin, both of Florida, and Ricky Dingler of Cornelia, GA;
daughters, Pandora and Jack Roethele of Baton Rouge, LA, Karen Canada of Valdosta, GA, Julie and David Sockwell of Eustis, FL, Jill and Todd Roberson of Houston, TX and Trisha Lynn and Dustin Edelen of Tustin, CA; sisters, Jane Carr of Bell, TN, Elaine and Steve Marshall of Lizelle, GA and Carol Edwards of St. Petersburg, FL;
brothers, Hinton and Dot Tomberlin of Cookesville, TN and Hubert and Becky Tomberlin of Grand Island, FL; fifteen grand- children and 3 great grand-daughters.
Services will be held on Monday, June 13, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Dr. Johnny Turner officiating. Interment will follow on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, June 13, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until the service time.
