Chester Allen Black, 86 885 N. 1400 West, died April 18, 1975, in a local hospital of a heart ailment. Born Jan. 19, 1889, Huntington, Emery County, to John Morley and Therresa Cox Black. Married Sara Clarissa Hancock, Dec. 24, 1913, Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died in 1966. Married Mary Ann Palmer Jones in 1967. Operated flour mill in Monticello. Retired Hill Air Force Base employee. Survivors: wife; son, daughters, LeRoy C., Phoenix, Ariz.; Mrs. George (Naomi) Cornish, Port Tobacco, Md.; Mrs. Norman (Irene) Wrightley, Richmond, Mass.; Mrs. Max (Iris) Syndergaard, Kaysville; Mrs. Fred (Florence) Bittner, Salt Lake City, 6 stepchildren; brother, sisters, Edson Black, Blanding; Mrs. Jo (Pauline) Smith, Blanding, Mrs. Edmund (Ella) Thurland, Farmington, N.M.; 22 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. Funeral services Monday, 1 p.m. 760 N. 1200 West, Rose Park Ward Chapel. Friends call, 255-200 East, Sunday 7-9 p.m., and one hour to before services.
