Vicky, 44, of Bunker Hill Twp., Michigan, passed away at home on Friday, June 10, 2016. She was the daughter of James and Paula (Wright) Pietila.
She had lived the area for most of her life, except for 13 years when she and her husband moved to Hershey, MI, returning home about three years ago. She had worked for Ferris State University as a secretary to the Biology Department for 13 years, retiring in 2012.
She was the mother of two children and she fought cancer for seven years. Vicky was a member of the Crossroads Community Church in Stockbridge.
On May 28, 1994, she married Steven Taylor and he survives. Also surviving are two children, Zachary (age 8) and Sarah (age 7); her parents, James and Paula Pietila of Bunker Hill Twp.; two sisters, Mary Douglas of Leslie and Jamie (Rob) Webb of Onondaga; four nephews and four nieces; maternal grandmother Mary Wright of Dansville; her parents-in-law, Dan and Anna Taylor of Leslie, and sister-in-law Angie Taylor of Leslie.
A Memorial Service was held on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at the Crossroads Community Church, Stockbridge, with Pastor Brian Johnson officiating. Private interment took place at Fitchburg Cemetery.
