John Kouba, 83, of Route 2, Two Rivers, died Thursday evening at home.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday in Lambert Funeral Home and 11 a.m.
in Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot. The Rev. Earl Brouchoud will officiate
and burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Mr. Kouba was born May 15, 1895, in Czechoslovakia, son of the late Wenzel and
Anna Mackovitz Kouba. He married Mayme Hagenow Dec. 11, 1923, and was a lifetime
area farmer. He also was employed a number of years with Cherney Construction
Company.
Survivors include his wife, two sons, Daniel of Manitowoc and Chester of Route
2, Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Mary Kriste of Manitowoc, 10 grandchildren and
seven great grandchildren. A brother and two sisters preceded him in death.
Friends may call in Lambert Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Sunday, where a memorial
service will be at 7:30 p.m.

Marriage of John/Mayme Kouba
Notes from Kingsbridge:
The marriage of Miss Minnie Hagenow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hagenow to John Kouba, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wencel Kouba, took place Tuesday afternoon at Manitowoc, Judge Chloupek performing the ceremony. Miss Laura Bouda and Charles Hagenow were the attending couple. A wedding supper was served at the home of the bride's parents. Covers were laid for about sixty guests. Mr. and Mrs. Kouba will make their home on a farm which the groom recently purchased.
