Joseph Peroutka, 81, of Rt. 2, Two Rivers, died unexpectedly Monday evening at the home of a son, Eugene, with whom he resided for the past five years.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Specht Funeral Home, Mishicot, and at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot, the Rev. Anthony Betley officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Mishicot.
Mr. Peroutka was born Jan. 11, 1882, in the Town of Kossuth, son of the late Wenzel and Theresa Wanek Peroutka. He married Lizzie Wanek in 1904 and the couple settled on the home farm in the town of Kossuth where he farmed all his life. His wife died in 1952. Mr. Peroutka was a member of the school board of the Riverview Graded School for many years.
Survivors include three sons, Eugene, of Rt. 2, Two Rivers, Leonard, of Okeechebee, Fla., and Lester, of Oshkosh; a daughter, Mrs. George Honzik, of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Theresa Hronek, of Rt. 1, Mishicot; 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. A son preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3:30 p.m. Thursday where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.
