Helen Anna Fanelle, daughter of Rocky and Jessie (Ramaldi) Fanelle, was born December 11, 1908 in Sioux Falls, SD. She received her education at Linwood School in Sioux Falls. From 1924 to 1944, Helen began work on the assembly line boxing crackers for Manchester Biscuit Company.
Helen was united in marriage with Irven Anderson on November 2, 1944 in Sioux Falls. The couple made their home in Sioux Falls, where they raised two sons. Helen later worked as a custodian at Linwood School before retiring in 1967.
Fanelle Avenue in the Holiday Estates sub-division of Sioux Falls was named in honor of Helen's family, as it is located on property purchased from them.
Helen was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing cards, bowling and dancing. She cherished her family and spending time with them.
Grateful for having shared her life are two sons, Ron Anderson and his wife, Carol, Sioux Falls, SD, Larry Anderson and his wife, Charleen, Omaha, NE; three grandchildren, Maureen Anderson, Sioux Falls, SD, Emilee Anderson, Sioux Falls, SD, Kyle Anderson, Omaha, NE; a great-granddaughter, Lexi Elizabeth Anderson, Omaha, NE; and a host of other relatives and friends.
