Mildred Ellison, 90, a former resident of 407 Ferry Street, died at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2005, at Rosewalk Village where she had been a resident since November. Born April 7, 1915, in Romney she lived in Ladoga and Stockwell before coming to Lafayette in 1991. She graduated from Romney High School in 1934, and she worked at GTE. She married Wilbur Nicewander and he preceded her in death. Her second marriage was to Frank Ellison in April 1970. He preceded her in death Feb 13. Mrs Ellison was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God. She enjoyed cooking. Surviving is a brother, Harry Todd of Florida. Grave side services 1 p.m. today, at Concord Cemetery with Pastor Leroy Hill officiating. Preceded in death by a son, Frank Nicewander, 6 brothers, her parents, Thomas and Ada Todd. Hippensteel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
