Stephen Oscar Ashcraft, Retired Mabelvale Farmer

Stephen Oscar Ashcraft, aged 84, a retired farmer of Mabelvale, died Monday.

He was a Missionary Baptist and formerly lived at Prattsville.

He is survived by his wife; five sons, William C. Ashcraft of Belleville, AL, Joe M. Ashcraft of Little Rock, Horace E. Ashcraft of Mabelvale, Donovan Ashcraft of North Little Rock and Burce Ashcraft of Hawthorne, CA; a daughter, Mrs. E. A. Scott of Leesbury, FL; a brother, W. T. Ashcraft of Mabelvale; three sisters, Mrs. Arelia Worthen of Prattsville, Miss Hattie Ashcraft of Prattsville and Mrs. Asenia Smith of Hayti, MO: 19 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Missionary Baptist Church at Mabelvale by Elder Paul Goodwin and Elder J. C. Kelley. Burial will be at Forest Hills Cemetery by Buie Funeral Service of Sheridan.
